Talk:Preparing a Computer running Mac OS-X for Tibetan Editing

Hi everybody! Does anyone know of a program like PECHAMAKER for the mac? Are there any templates around for Pages or Open Office, or even Word for Mac?

• Pecha-making with Mac is still pretty much uncharted territory. In principle, the OpenOffice approach should work for Mac too, but needs some adaption, since Jomolhari, the Tibetan font used for the template, doesn't render correctly with OO on Mac. Jomolhari-ID however works correctly.

Another possibility is to use Adobe Indesign CS5, which works with Tibetan, but no templates have been created.

Neither pages nor MS Word are suitable in my opinion: pages lacks a scripting language, and MS Word fails to properly display Tibetan Unicode on Mac.
